The God Who Loves Nobidies

God displays His wisdom in the Church by calling the lowly to Himself. The message of a crucified savior seems foolish to the world. But to those who are called it is the power and wisdom of God. This turns the wisdom of the world upside down. To prevent anyone from being able to boast God calls the “nobodies” of the world to Himself so that no one may boast. He lavishes His love on these “nobodies” and radically transforms their identity in Christ so that He receives the glory. Paul calls us to remember who we were and that our salvation is all of grace from start to finish.

Remember

Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you,

Who’s the Greatest?

Jesus is the greatest of all, because He was willing to be last, and servant of all. As the greatest Servant that He continues to be, He allows us to share in the praise that only He deserves, as we receive our “well done” from God, for the service we’ve offered to Him.

Humility

Humility describes those who teachable, lowly, & other-focused; Christ was perfectly humble, and if you want humility that pleases God, you must come to, and submit to Him.
